My Struggle With Back Pain By Austin Akalanze My struggle with started kind of early. I was young and in college. To support myself and pay for college, I took up a delivery job. Six day a week I drove around town in a little car delivering medicines to pharmacies and residencial addresses.
Several months into the job, I began to feel pain in the back. The pain was mostly in my lower back.
At first, the did not seem much like anything. It woul go away I told myself. But as time passed, my became worse. A time came when it was considerably painful to bend over or even to get out of my car after each run.
It was at the point that it dawned on me that my would not go away by itself. Not being insured, I was not sure where to go. After a few calls, I found a doctor who was willing to check out my for a fees I could afford.
A quick examination and an xray, the doctor informs me that I
have a condition called lumbosacral strain. He quickly added that he had both good and bad news for me. The bad news he said is that this kind of is chronic. He even added that his wife had suffered the same for ten years. Andk the good news he said is that I would never die from it.
All said and done, he gave me some medication and a list of stretch exercises. He explained that the medication is to give me some immediate relief from my but that with continueous exercise, I can conserderably reduce the pain in my lower back over time.
I have since discovered that what he said was true. Exercise really helps. What I have also found is that whenever I abondon my exercise regime for a long time, the creeps back in. So the holy grail in my experience is to maintain a steady exercise routine. That helps to keep the muscles loose and free and keep my away. Austin Akalanze is a seasoned writer.
